Overview
The Risk Prevention, Fire Safety and Environmental Protection Office (Service prévention sécurité environnement – SPSE) advises and assists management in drafting and implementing the university's risk prevention policy.
Its main missions involve preventing risks related to the university’s activities, including chemical, biological and physical hazards, risks associated with work equipment, building-related risks such as fire safety and accessibility, as well as ensuring environmental protection.
The Risk Prevention, Fire Safety and Environmental Protection Office also plays a key role in training and informing those involved in risk prevention, as well as supporting the committee responsible for health and safety at the university.
All actions are coordinated with the National Centre for Scientific Research (Centre national de recherches scientifiques – CNRS) and the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale – INSERM) for the laboratories associated with these institutions.
The Risk Prevention, Fire Safety and Environmental Protection Office has three departments, each responsible for a specific area:
- Prevention of occupational risks
- Fire risk and accessibility
- Environmental protection
