    Overview

The Staff Social Services Office (Service social des personnels SSP) is responsible for addressing staff needs as part of the university's social action and human resources policy. It contributes to improving life at work through individual and collective initiatives.

The staff social worker is available to listen, support and help staff work through problems. They also provide information and guide staff to programmes that can help with personal or work-related issues. They work closely with internal partners such as the Occupational Health Office (Service de santé au travail  SST), the Human Resources Office (Direction des ressources humaines  DRH) and the Staff Social and Cultural Support Office (Service pour la promotion de l'action sociale – SPACS), as well as with external social services, associations and government agencies.

The Staff Social Services Office is also involved in various university initiatives, including:

    • Developing and implementing collective initiatives for staff, such as support for family carers
    • Participating in the monthly committee that reviews social aid and loan applications with the Staff Social and Cultural Support Office
    • Contributing to the Welfare Committee (Commission d'action sociale), held every semester
    • Taking part in meetings focused on improving quality of life at work
